Olio su tavola, 62 x 47 cm. Luigi Scarpa Croce (1901 – 1967) è nato il 26 agosto 1901 a Venezia dove è morto il 9 gennaio 1967. Si è diplomato all’Accademia di Belle Arti nel 1923 dopo aver studiato sotto la guida di Ettore Tito. Attorno agli anni 1923/’26 ha partecipato alle mostre di Cà Pesaro ed alla Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia dove ha esposto anche nel 1928-1932-1934 (invitato) 1935 (invitato) 1940-1942-1948-1950. Nel 1930 è stato chiamato quale consulente artistico alla prima Quadriennale di Roma. Vasta la sua attività nel settore del vetro nel quale ha lavorato, come disegnatore e come tecnico, dal 1940 al 1942 e dal 1950 al 1956. Ha esposto a quasi tutte le collettive dell’Opera Bevilacqua La Masa dal 1926 al 1957. Sue opere si trovano in Musei ed in collezioni private in italia ed all’estero. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1923 after studying under Ettore Tito. Around 1923/26 he participated in the exhibitions at Cà Pesaro and at the Venice International Art Biennale, where he also exhibited in 1928-1932-1934 (invited), 1935 (invited), 1940-1942-1948-1950. In 1930 he was called as artistic consultant to the first Rome Quadrennial. His activity in the glass sector was extensive, where he worked as a designer and technician from 1940 to 1942 and from 1950 to 1956. He exhibited in almost all the Opera Bevilacqua La Masa group exhibitions from 1926 to 1957. His works are found in museums and private collections in Italy and abroad.
